Sydney
April 2005
The main event of our brief visit to Sydney was to throw an 80th birthday party for my mother. Here's some of the other fun we had.
The weather was spectacular and
one afternoon while the girls went to Luna Park, I caught the sunset.

A visit to the
Brett Whiteley Studio has been
on our list for a while, and was well worth it.
No photography inside, but a great door, and some nice geometries in the
neighborhood.
We had a wonderful lunch
at Sonia and Gary's which featured lots of "cousin-time" for Grace and a
pre-birthday cake for Chris.

One morning I took Grace and
Sophia for a swim/explore at Parsley Bay in Vaucluse.

Grace caught up with her old
Neutral Bay Primary friends, including Simran, and we enjoyed catching up
with their parents!

We hosted an "art friends" birthday lunch for Chris at the Art Gallery of
NSW. The food was great, and the conversation was better.

Leaving
the gallery, and strolling in the Domain after the lunch.
The day before we left to come
home, Susan and Chris invited us down to Scotland Island. We brought Grace's
friend Amber along. The girls enjoyed fast boat rides and slow games of
chess.

Harry and Ally were there too --
it was great to catch up with them.
Ladders from an African village
that came back with C&S on their last trip.

The chef looks relaxed, but she
cooked up some great food, and we got a lesson on the use of tin cans to
make food stand up on the plate!

After lunch it was down to the
dock for a bit of fishing, talking, and hair braiding.
