North Head
Sunrise
July 2004
The north head of Sydney Harbour is a favorite spot of mine early in the morning. You can see the harbour, the city, and the sun coming up over the vastness of the Pacific.
One Sunday morning I found these teenagers looking east over the cliffs.
It was a very sad story -- their friend had jumped from that spot a
month before.

Looking back at the city, the sun had not yet risen, and the moon was
slowly setting

Ten minutes later, the sun has hit the city and south head.

Looking north on the ocean side of the headland.
I ended the morning with a visit to the flags on a pristine Manly beach.
